About the Role
A growing international legal practice is seeking a Junior Lawyer with strong corporate and commercial experience to join its remote South African team.
The role offers exposure to sophisticated commercial matters and international clients, with the opportunity to work closely with senior legal professionals and take on increasing responsibility.
Key Requirements
Must Have:

37 years’ relevant legal experience.

Qualified/admitted South African attorney, or eligible for admission.

Strong corporate and commercial contracting experience.

Proven experience working with US clients.

Excellent drafting, research and analytical skills.

Strong attention to detail and commercial judgment.
Advantageous:

M&A experience.
- International/cross-border legal experience.

Familiarity with US contract drafting.

Experience with legal technology and AI tools.
Key Responsibilities

Draft, review and negotiate corporate and commercial agreements.

Assist with M&A, investments, restructurings and other transactions.

Conduct legal research and provide practical advice and summaries.

Assist with corporate governance, regulatory and compliance matters.

Review due diligence and transaction documentation.

Prepare resolutions, closing documents and other legal materials.

Communicate with international clients and external counsel under supervision.

Assist with legal templates, processes and knowledge management.

Use AI and legal technology effectively while independently verifying work.
