Client-Specific Information:
We are currently working with a UK-wide specialist contractor in soil and water remediation, delivering sustainable and compliant solutions for construction and infrastructure projects.
About the Role:
Our client is seeking motivated and experienced Environmental/Remediation Engineers to join our growing team. Working from our Weybridge office and across sites throughout the UK, you will play a key role in delivering contaminated land remediation, environmental improvement, and brownfield redevelopment projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver remediation and environmental engineering projects from mobilisation through to completion.
- Supervise remediation works, including earthworks, soil treatment, groundwater remediation, and validation activities.
- Monitor site progress, quality, environmental compliance, and health and safety performance.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with project specifications, method statements, and relevant legislation.
- Collect, record, and interpret environmental and remediation data.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, regulators, and internal project teams.
- Prepare technical reports, validation reports, site records, and progress updates.
- Assist with project planning, programming, and resource management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within environmental engineering, contaminated land, remediation, or ground engineering.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of contaminated land remediation techniques and environmental regulations.
- Experience supervising site operations and contractors.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel and work on projects nationwide.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with earthworks, enabling works, or brownfield redevelopment.
- Knowledge of environmental permitting and waste management legislation.
- CSCS card.
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Membership of a relevant professional institution (or working towards chartership).
